The challenge
Before working with Predium, Midstad's building management was based on complex Excel solutions. However, data was often inaccessible and missing in real time. This led to errors and a lack of transparency. Comprehensive planning of measures was also hardly possible, as the standard CRREM path tool, for example, does not allow a dynamic combination of ESG measures. The static nature of the CRREM path also made long-term comparisons difficult. A flexible presentation of ESG indicators and CRREM paths was therefore urgently needed.
Another key factor was market pressure to adopt a sustainable and future-proof solution early on.

The solution
The collaboration with Predium opened up new opportunities for Midstad to manage its ESG strategies and building data in a centralized and efficient way. Predium was established at Midstad as a “single source of truth”—a central hub where all relevant sustainability information, particularly around the “E”, is consolidated and accessible.The software enables dynamic visualization of CRREM pathways and provides a foundation for precise action planning. This allows Midstad to strategically plan and transparently document its clients’ investments—specifically regarding decarbonization and improvements in energy efficiency.A particularly valuable feature is the ability to estimate the costs of simulated measures, making the cost-benefit ratio and ESG impact immediately visible.
A key advantage of Predium is the API interface, which enables open data exchange. This allows Midstad to connect ESG data with other systems and integrate it into reporting. Dr. Benjamin Wagner explains: “We didn't want an all-in-one tool, but the best solution for a specific problem and opted for an open ecosystem in our IT landscape.”

What also stood out was the user-friendly interface of the Predium software, which gives teams quick and efficient access to all essential data. During the selection process, Predium also impressed with its personalized interaction.
Within just three months of implementation, Predium was fully operational. Despite initial challenges in data collection—such as incomplete energy certificates or complex building structures—the automated processes and the strong commitment of Predium’s customer support team ensured a smooth transition.
The result: seamless integration and significant time savings in day-to-day operations with the software.
